Kevin Attwood, Oracle
SC Manager - Northern California, Oracle Corporation
Affiliation:
Non-User
Experience:
I have worked for Oracle for almost nine
years, including roles in Finance, Development and finally in pre-sales
Solution Consulting.
* As a compensation analyst in our Finance group I was a user of Oracle
Sales Analysis (character based), Incentive Compensation, Order Entry,
Order Management, Financials, and Project Accounting.
* My time in Development as a product manager gave me an excellent
overview of Oracle's product planning and release lifecycle, which has
helped me when working with customers on optimizing their applications
(what is coming, when, and even enhancement requests). I also know a lot
of folks there which helps when planning events!
* As an SC Manager I lead a team of Industry and Product experts covering
all functional areas in the EBusiness Suite. These are the experts that
engage directly with our local customers and also lead a lot of the
Training Day sessions (and other customer care events we sponsor locally).
How I can contribute to the NorCal OAUG:
I would like to help Oracle's local
customers optimize their use of their applications by:
* being in tune with the needs of our users (which topics are hot that we
should do an event around)
* helping them stay on top of the latest changes to the Oracle solutions
I think the main value I can bring to the board is my ability to organize
Oracle's internal resources--Development, SCs, etc.--to make sure that our
users have access to the latest information concerning Oracle
Applications.

I have been working with Oracle
applications for the last 12 years, starting with Release 9.4.2. Since
then, I have worked for Oracle Corporation, first as a Sales Consultant
and then as an Implementation Consultant and Manager and have learned both
the high level design aspects of Oracle apps, such as Multi-org, and Chart
of Accounts design, to the detailed setups for PO, AR, AP, FA, CM, and
other applications.
How I can contribute to the NorCal OAUG:
As the founder of the Latin American CFO
Forum in Miami I used to organize speaking events in which I would get
speakers from government such as John Sununu, Chief of Staff of Bush I
